The Deanship of Development and Quality is one of the supporting deanships at the University of Bisha, whose establishment was issued in the year 1435 AH. It is affiliated with the University Vice Presidency for Development and Quality. One of the most important objectives of the Deanship is to achieve quality assurance and continual improvement of all activities and operations carried out by the various faculties, departments and units at the university. To ensure the achievement of the deanship's objectives, two deanship vice presidencies have been established, the first for development and the second for quality, and both include several units to carry out the tasks entrusted to each vice deanship.
The Deanship has many contributions in all sectors of the university, for example, the Deanship participates in all activities concerned with the development of the university, such as preparing the strategic plan of the university and following up on its implementation and development, preparing the university's self-study report as one of the main requirements for institutional accreditation, which the university earned in March 2021 AD in full until 2028, providing technical support to university units to prepare their own strategic plans. The Deanship also participated in coordinating, setting up and following up the preparation for program accreditation for four of the university's academic programs, which reached the stage of taking the accreditation decision by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission in the Kingdom, as a first batch for accrediting all university academic programs by the end of 2025, in accordance with the decisions of the Ministry of Education in this regard. The Deanship is currently providing the necessary technical support and following up the initial phase of preparation for the accreditation of twenty other academic programs during the next academic year, followed by the rest of the programs in the following academic year. The Deanship is also keen to organize various training programs offered for all categories of university employees and the surrounding community, in addition to organizing a summer forum that includes many training events and workshops in which the speakers are experts in the field of training from faculty members at the university and outside.
